Winnipeg Jets winger Patrik Laine scored a power-play goal in a 3-1 Jets win over the Carolina Hurricanes on Sunday. Laine, in his usual position in the left circle on the power play, buried a crisp cross-ice feed from Blake Wheeler to open the scoring in the third period. The former second-overall pick of the 2016 Draft is coming off a remarkable 44-goal campaign in 2017-2018 and should push to lead the league in goals this season. Through his first five games, Laine has posted three points (two goals, one assist), two power play goals, and 17 shots on goal. The sniper will look to light the red lamp once again as the Jets host the Oilers on Tuesday.--Chase Davis - RotoBaller
