Patrick Fishburn Starts 2025 Season Strong
Patrick Fishburn has been playing phenomenal golf lately, with finishes of T6, T8, and T12 in his last three events. In his top-10 performance at the Sony Open last week, Fishburn relied on his short game, gaining over 9.6 strokes in putting and around the green combined. Fishburn doesn't have a long history at The American Express with just one appearance in 2024, where he was unable to make the 54-hole cut despite a solid 10-under score through three rounds. Given the likely low scoring at this event, avoiding mistakes will be key. In 2024, Fishburn ranked third on tour in bogey-avoidance percentage, trailing only Xander Schauffele and Scottie Scheffler, two of the game's elite players.
