Patrick Corbin Named Opening Day Starter For The Nats
Washington Nationals pitcher Patrick Corbin will be the team's Opening Day starter when they host the Mets on Thursday, April 7. Coming off a truly horrendous season in which he led the majors in losses (16), earned runs (111) and home runs allowed (37), the 32-year-old southpaw is looking to bounce back in 2022. He's had an excellent spring so far, posting a 0.00 ERA, 0.89 WHIP and 10:2 K:BB through nine innings (two starts) of Grapefruit League play. He's a low-risk dart throw in fantasy, considering it shouldn't take much to improve on his ugly 5.82 ERA, 1.47 WHIP and 143:60 K:BB over 171 2/3 innings from last season.
