Miami Marlins starting pitcher
Eury Perez was dominant on Sunday in an 11-1 win against the Orioles, striking out six over seven scoreless frames. He allowed three hits and didn't walk a single batter. The youngster had a rocky first four starts in his return to the mound for the first time since 2023, but has seemingly figured things out over his past three outings. During that span, the 22-year-old has allowed one earned run on six hits and one walk while striking out 21 over 18 innings. This is the potential many saw in him as he rose through the minor leagues as one of the most highly-regarded prospects in baseball. He'll carry a 3.18 ERA into the All-Star break, and he could very well be a must-start pitcher for fantasy the rest of the way.

Philadelphia Phillies starting pitcher
Cristopher Sanchez allowed one run on six hits and three walks with six strikeouts in 7 ⅓ innings in a 2-1 victory against the Padres. This was his eighth win of the season, bringing his record to 8-2. The 28-year-old has been one of the most reliable pitchers in baseball, as this was his eighth straight quality start. The lefty heads into the break with a 2.50 ERA and 1.14 WHIP with 122 strikeouts through 115 innings pitched. He's been regarded as one of the biggest All-Star snubs, and the Phillies recently activated his bonus All-Star clause in his contract to reward him, despite not officially making the team.

The Philadelphia Phillies have selected right-handed pitcher Gage Wood with the 26th overall pick in the 2025 MLB Draft. Wood most notably threw a masterclass in the College World Series, with a 19-strikeout no-hitter. He has the ability to simply overpower hitters with his upper-90s fastball thrown from a lower arm slot with a ton of carry while also boasting two breaking balls that can be developed. His fastball rocked a gaudy 45-percent whiff rate last season, significantly higher than the college baseball average of 18 percent. The right-hander also progressively improved his control over his college career, finishing with a strong five-percent walk rate over his final two seasons. He is capable of moving fast in the Phillies organization and could serve in a relief role in the short term.

Matt Strahm recorded his sixth save of the season in a 2-1 win over the Padres on Sunday. He allowed two walks, but didn't give up any hits and ultimately left the inning unscathed.
Orion Kerkering came in for
Cristopher Sanchez in the eighth inning, getting the last two outs of the frame without allowing any runs. This was Strahm's first save since June 29, but that was mainly due to a lack of opportunity. Both Kerkering and
Jordan Romano have gone even longer without a save, so it looks like Strahm is holding the top spot in that bullpen for now. The 33-year-old posted a 3.29 ERA with 44 strikeouts and 12 walks in 38 ⅓ innings in the first half.

Milwaukee Brewers starting pitcher
Jacob Misiorowski is drawing interest from his club to negotiate a contract extension, reports Francys Romero. The Brewers reportedly made an offer earlier in the season, but they are still far apart from what Misiorowski is looking for. It's no surprise that Milwaukee is looking to extend the youngster, as he's coming off a 12-strikeout performance against one of the best offenses in the league. Despite only making five career starts, the 23-year-old was recently named to the NL All-Star team. He's posted a 2.81 ERA and 0.90 WHIP with 33 strikeouts in 25 ⅔ innings and could be the ace of the staff for a very long time.

The San Diego Padres have selected left-handed pitcher Kruz Schoolcraft with the 25th overall pick in the 2025 MLB Draft. Schoolcraft is a fluid mover at a towering 6'8", and sits 92-94 MPH with his fastball and the ability to reach 97. He has some two-way appeal, as he generated some buzz also as a first baseman. But most teams prefer him as a pitcher, given his impressive performances at various summer events. He has an advanced feel for his changeup and plays it effectively off his heater. Developing a reliable breaking ball will be an important element to monitor with the big lefty, as he would often go through full starts in high school without throwing it. He was ranked as the number 19 prospect in the draft by MLB.com.

Chicago White Sox outfielder
Luis Robert Jr. has been checked on by eight teams recently regarding potential trades, reports Jon Heyman of The New York Post. Some teams that look like potential fits are the Phillies, Dodgers, Padres, Royals, and Mets. While Robert was once considered to be one of the next young superstars, his career has turned into more of an injury-plagued disappointment since. This season, he is slashing just .190/.275/.325 with nine home runs and 22 stolen bases in 79 games. It's possible that the potential suitors for the 27-year-old think they can fix him, especially if his price on the trade market comes at a discount.

The Detroit Tigers have selected shortstop Jordan Yost from Sickles High School in Florida with the 24th overall pick in the 2025 MLB Draft. The Florida commit was a late bloomer in the draft process, and has some of the best contact skills in the draft with a good sense of the zone. Standing 6'0" and 170 pounds, he's begun to add power to his profile to go with his elite tool. What the power ultimately looks like could determine his upside, as his plus speed and defense will provide value. He joins a deep Detroit farm system featuring top prospect

The Kansas City Royals have selected outfielder Sean Gamble out of IMG Academy in Florida with the 23rd overall pick in the 2025 MLB Draft. Gamble is a smooth athlete at 6'2" and 185 pounds with plenty of projection in how he fills out his frame. The left-handed hitter is consistently able to barrel balls and do damage to all areas of the field. Gamble showed versatility in the field, with his above-average speed and arm talent allowing him to see time in centerfield, and some scouts believe he could play effectively on the left side of the infield as well.

The Atlanta Braves have selected shortstop Tate Southisene from Basic High School in Nevada with the 22nd overall pick in the 2025 MLB Draft. While he has a smaller build at 5'11" and 180 pounds, Southisene is a quick-twitch athlete with plenty of bat speed and sprint speed to dream on. He has an aggressive approach and has good contact from the right side. There are positive bloodlines to go off as well, with his brother Ty being selected in the fourth round of last year's draft. The Southern California commit hit for a .495 batting average over this past season and earned the Gatorade State Player of the Year honors. He'll join an Atlanta farm system with multiple positive development stories.

The Houston Astros have selected shortstop Xavier Neyens out of Mount Vernon High School in Washington with the 21st overall pick in the 2025 MLB Draft. Neyens boasts some of the most impressive raw power in the entire draft class, drawing a 65 power grade from MLB.com. The 18-year-old has already produced eye-popping exit velocities of 110 MPH against quality competition. He has the look of a future mainstay in the heart of the lineup. Standing 6'4" at 210 pounds, and projects to wind up at third base in the long term. He'll enter the Houston farm system that has developed plenty of big league stars over the years.

The Milwaukee Brewers have selected third baseman Andrew Fischer out of the University of Tennessee with the 20th overall pick in the 2025 MLB Draft. Fischer spent his first college season with Duke and then transferred to Mississippi before the 2024 campaign. However, he would then opt to play his final season with Tennessee. As a Volunteer, Fischer would enjoy a career season boasting a .341/.497/.760 slash line with 16 doubles and 25 round-trippers. The infielder swiped four bags and held a 63:42 K:BB. This is an excellent sign as he held a much lower .285 AVG with a .643 SLG in 2024. The 6-foot-1 slugger has elite raw power and has continued to show an improved eye at the plate each season. While his upside in the batter's box is high, he holds a modest 45 Fielding grade on MLB.com, which slightly impacted his draft stock. If he can show improvement on defense while he progresses through the Milwaukee system, he could find himself relatively high on prospect boards next summer.

The Baltimore Orioles have selected catcher/outfielder Ike Irish out of Auburn University with the 19th overall pick in the 2025 MLB Draft. Irish has spent all three seasons of his college career with the Tigers. Last season, the backstop posted a career-high .364/.469/.710 slash line with 13 doubles and 19 home runs across 55 contests. Irish swiped 11 bags and held a 37:33 K:BB. MLB.com noted that while Irish has hit for power in college, he does induce a lot of groundballs, which could limit his power upside on the professional level, as he only went deep twice across 62 games in the Cape Cod League. In addition to his ability to play behind the dish, Irish has also seen ample time in right field. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor where he is deployed while progressing through the Baltimore system, as a permanent shift to the outfield could lead to increased offensive production. Given his collegiate experience, he could find a path to debut in the upper minor leagues early in 2026.

The Arizona Diamondbacks have selected shortstop Kayson Cunningham from Lady Bird Johnson High School in Texas with the 18th overall pick in the 2025 MLB Draft. Cunningham is widely considered an elite hitter and is even credited as one of the top pure hitters in the 2025 prep class on MLB.com. Cunningham won USA Baseball Player of the Year honors in 2024 and was also named Gatorade State Player of the Year this past season. The 19-year-old infielder is known for showing an elite eye at the dish as he rarely swings and misses. He also possesses high power upside that should continue to develop as he progresses through the Arizona system. While he entered the draft as a shortstop, many scouts project him to shift to the keystone later in his career. He will join a young Arizona hitting system that features several budding stars in the lower levels, including

Demetrio Crisantes.

With the 17th overall pick in the 2025 MLB Draft, the Chicago Cubs have selected outfielder Ethan Conrad out of Wake Forest. Conrad spent the 2024 college season with Marist before transferring to Wake Forest for the 2025 season. In 2025, Conrad was one of the top hitters in the nation, posting a .372/.495/.744 slash line with a remarkable 1.238 OPS. He went deep seven times and swiped four bases. He struck out just 14 times and drew 18 walks. His season was cut short due to a shoulder injury. MLB.com credits him for having upside speed with the potential for an increase in power production. He should remain in the outfield but could also shift to first base, where he also spent time in college. Conrad will join a deep Chicago hitting system that features several high-end outfielders, including
Owen Caissie and
Kevin Alcantara.
