Indianapolis Colts head coach Shane Steichen said that wide receiver Alec Pierce (concussion) will play in Week 6 on Sunday against the visiting Arizona Cardinals after clearing the league's concussion protocol this week, according to Stephen Holder of ESPN. Pierce missed the team's last two games as a result of his head injury that he suffered in Week 3. The 25-year-old looked like he was close to playing in Week 5, but he was eventually ruled out after suffering a setback last Friday. With Pierce back in the fold, Adonai Mitchell could be on his way to being a healthy scratch after seeing his role dramatically reduced last Sunday following two crucial mistakes in the Week 4 loss. Pierce should settle back in as a top-three wideout for the Colts alongside Michael Pittman Jr. and Josh Downs. Before his injury, the former second-rounder had caught nine passes for 171 yards and no touchdowns in three games.--Keith Hernandez

When asked if Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Adonai Mitchell would be active for the Week 6 contest against the visiting Arizona Cardinals on Sunday, head coach Shane Steichen said, "We're working through that," according to Jake Arthur of Locked On Colts. Mitchell is currently in the dog house in Indy after making two crucial mistakes in the team's Week 4 loss to the Los Angeles Rams. Alec Pierce (concussion) missed a second straight game in last week's blowout win over the Las Vegas Raiders, but Mitchell took on a much smaller role, playing just six offensive snaps and being targeted just once. Ashton Dulin was the beneficiary of the offense with Mitchell essentially benched, and he caught two passes for 55 yards. Pierce has cleared the league's concussion protocol and will play against Arizona, so there's a chance Mitchell will be a healthy scratch. Regardless, Mitchell's arrow is pointed firmly downward right now.--Keith Hernandez

With kicker Spencer Shrader (knee) set to miss the remainder of the 2025 season due to a torn ACL and MCL, the Indianapolis Colts signed veteran kicker Michael Badgley as a replacement earlier this week. Badgley has appeared in 64 career NFL games over six seasons for six different teams, and most recently played in four games for the Detroit Lions in 2023. He's connected on 82.4% of his career field goal attempts, although he's struggled from long distance. Badgley has made just five out of 13 attempts (38.5%) of his career attempts from 50-plus yards out. Before getting injured, Shrader was one of the most productive kickers in fantasy this season. Badgley profiles slightly less favorably but could be a low-end starting option in Week 6 against the Arizona Cardinals.--Will Brady

Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Alec Pierce (concussion) practiced in full for the second straight day on Thursday. Pierce has missed each of the Colts' last two games due to a concussion, but it appears he's trending towards returning in Week 6 against the Arizona Cardinals. The 25-year-old has recorded nine catches for 171 yards on 13 targets in three games so far this season. If he were to miss additional time, Colts wideouts Ashton Dulin and Adonai Mitchell would likely see the majority of the team's WR3 snaps alongside Michael Pittman Jr. and Josh Downs. Assuming Pierce is good to go in Week 6, he profiles as a desperation boom/bust flex option for fantasy managers against Arizona.--Will Brady

Indianapolis Colts head coach Shane Steichen said that wide receiver Alec Pierce (concussion) will practice on Wednesday, according to James Boyd of The Athletic. Pierce has missed the last two games with a concussion, but he is trending in the right direction to make his return in Week 6 on Sunday versus the visiting Arizona Cardinals. It looked like Pierce was going to play last week in the win over the Las Vegas Raiders after he was a full-go in practice on Wednesday and Thursday, but he had a setback on Friday and was not cleared from the NFL's concussion protocol. If he can avoid a setback this week, Pierce could be active as Indy's WR3 next to Michael Pittman Jr. and Josh Downs. The 25-year-old has nine catches on 13 targets for 171 yards and no touchdowns in his three games this year. If Pierce is active, he'll be in play as a WR4/flex in deeper fantasy leagues against the Cards.--Keith Hernandez

Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson Sr. has appeared in just two games so far this season, both times in mop-up duty at the end of blowout victories. The 23-year-old is firmly behind Daniel Jones on the quarterback depth chart in Indianapolis due to how well Jones has played through five games. In his first season with the Colts, Jones has completed 71.3% of his pass attempts for 1,290 yards and six touchdowns, adding three rushing touchdowns as well. Richardson Sr.'s dual-threat ability gives him major fantasy upside if he ever gets another chance to start, but for now, he remains an injury to Jones away from playing time.--Will Brady

Indianapolis Colts tight end Tyler Warren has been one of the top rookies in the league this season. He stayed hot in a 40-6 win over the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 5, catching all four of his targets for 44 yards and a touchdown in the blowout win. Warren has now scored touchdowns in two straight games as he continues to operate as one of the top options in the Indy passing attack. The rookie will now turn his attention to a Week 6 home matchup against the Arizona Cardinals. The Cardinals have been a decent matchup for tight ends this season, allowing the 13th-most fantasy points per game to the position through five games. Warren sets up as a no-brainer TE1 in all fantasy leagues in Week 6.--Matt Terelle

Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Josh Downs turned in his best game of the season in a Week 5 win over the Las Vegas Raiders. Downs caught six of his eight targets for a season-high 54 yards in a 40-6 blowout win on Sunday. The veteran wideout has been quiet to start the season, but he will hope his performance is a springboard to a larger role going forward. Downs will now prepare to host the Arizona Cardinals in Week 6. The Cardinals are allowing just the 20th-most fantasy points per game this year, but Downs should stay involved with Alec Pierce (concussion) expected to miss a third-straight game. Downs sets up as a WR5/flex option heading into Week 6.--Matt Terelle

Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. continued his hot start to the season in a 40-6 win over the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 5. Pittman caught five of his six targets for 39 yards and a touchdown in the blowout win, giving him scores in four of his five games this year. The veteran receiver has been posting modest yardage totals as he's averaging 54.6 yards per game thus far, but he's emerged as Daniel Jones' favorite target so far. Pittman will look to stay hot in a Week 6 home matchup against the Arizona Cardinals. The Cardinals are allowing just the 20th-most fantasy points per game to opposing wideouts this season, but Pittman can be utilized as a WR3 heading into Week 6.--Matt Terelle

Indianapolis Colts quarterback Daniel Jones continued his hot start to the season in a 40-6 win over the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 5. Jones completed 20 of his 29 passes for 212 yards and two touchdowns in the blowout victory. The veteran quarterback's performance has been one of the best stories of the season as he now has thrown for 1,290 yards, six touchdowns, and two interceptions while adding three more rushing touchdowns. Jones will now prepare to host an Arizona Cardinals defense that has been tough on opposing passers this year. That being said, Jones has been consistent enough to trust as a low-end QB1 heading into Week 6.--Matt Terelle

The Indianapolis Colts are signing free-agent kicker Michael Badgley to their 53-man active roster on Tuesday, sources told NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. Badgley will get the first crack for the Colts at replacing Spencer Shrader (knee), who suffered a torn ACL and MCL in the Week 5 win over the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday. The 30-year-old kicked for Indianapolis back in 2021 and is fully healthy now after missing 2024 due to injury. He went 18-for-21 on field-goal attempts and 39-for-39 on his extra-point tries in his 12 games with the Colts in 2021. Badgley has a career 82.4% success rate on his 119 field-goal attempts in his six years in the NFL with five different teams. Badgley will probably have a short leash his second time around in Indy if he struggles, but he'll be kicking half his games indoors at Lucas Oil Stadium for what has been a surprisingly explosive offense.--Keith Hernandez

Indianapolis Colts head coach Shane Steichen said that kicker Spencer Shrader (knee) tore his ACL and MCL in his right knee in the Week 5 win over the Las Vegas Raiders and will miss the rest of the season, according to Stephen Holder of ESPN.com. Shrader was injured when a defender crashed into his knee following a kick on Sunday. It's a tough break for the 26-year-old and the 4-1 Colts, as Shrader had missed just one of his 14 field-goal tries while making all 14 of his extra-point attempts in five games before his season-ending injury. With no current kicker other than Shrader on the active roster or practice squad, the Colts will be working out free-agent kickers this week as they head into a Week 6 meeting with the visiting Arizona Cardinals. Fantasy managers who had been using Shrader at the position will have to hit the waiver wire for a replacement.--Keith Hernandez

Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor rushed 17 times for 66 yards and three touchdowns during Sunday's Week 5 win over the Las Vegas Raiders. He also caught three of four targets for an additional 20 receiving yards. While Taylor merely had modest yardage efficiency, he made up for it with his nose for the end zone. Taylor has had two different three-touchdown games over the last three weeks, and he ranks as the overall RB2 in fantasy football this season. He is also the league's leading rusher and has seven touchdowns. He should be deployed as a high-end RB1 every week, including next week against the Arizona Cardinals.--Andersen Pickard

Indianapolis Colts kicker Spencer Shrader (knee) is doubtful to return to his team's Week 5 matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders due to a knee injury. Shrader was crashed into by a Raiders defender and left the field with a significant limp. Before getting injured, Shrader knocked in both of his extra-point tries, but did not attempt a field goal. If Shrader is unable to return, Indianapolis may have to turn to punter Rigoberto Sanchez to handle all of its kicking duties.--Will Brady

ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reports that Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Ashton Dulin could be in store for increased snaps this Sunday when his team squares off with the Las Vegas Raiders at home. Dulin is poised to be the beneficiary of an expanded workload this weekend, with teammate Alec Pierce (concussion) set to miss another game, and Adonai Mitchell falling out of favor with the coaching staff. Mitchell made two egregious errors in Week 4 that each resulted in a touchdown being taken off the board. Fowler notes that while Mitchell will be active in Week 5, he's expected to see limited involvement. Mitchell actually out-snapped fellow WR Josh Downs last weekend, but it remains to be seen if Dulin would be used in a similar role. With that in mind, he'll be better off avoided for fantasy.--Alex Ciulla
