2 days agoFree-agent wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. remains unsigned after holding a private workout at the beginning of March. While several teams have reportedly expressed interest, with the Jets, Giants, and Bills rumored to be in the hunt, it appears the Chiefs haven't ruled out adding the wideout, either. "Odell is a good football player," stated head coach Andy Reid, who responded to a question from NFL Network's Steve Wyche during an interview on Saturday morning. "Yeah, he does a nice job. So, we'll see how all that goes." Beckham has totaled 531 catches for 7,367 yards and 56 touchdowns throughout his career. He spent his most recent season with the Rams. But he tore his ACL in Super Bowl LVI and hasn't played since. Nevertheless, this won't be the last we hear about Beckham moving ahead. 2 days agoFree-agent offensive lineman Kyle Fuller has agreed to a deal with the Broncos. The 29-year-old has bounced around the league since being taken in the seventh round of the 2017 NFL Draft, making stops in Houston, Washington, and Miami before landing in Seattle. He played the last three seasons with the Seahawks, including two with quarterback Russell Wilson. It's no secret the Broncos offensive line was a disaster during the 2022-23 campaign. 2 days agoFree-agent linebacker Bobby Wagner agreed to a one-year, $7 million deal with Seattle on Saturday. The 2012 second-round pick spent his entire career with the Seahawks before his release in March 2022. He then inked a lucrative multi-year agreement with the Rams. However, his tenure in Los Angeles would be short-lived, with both sides mutually parting ways after only one season. But now, he'll return to the Seahawks, a team committed to improving things on the defensive end. Wagner, who has 1,523 total tackles, 29.5 sacks, and 13 interceptions on his resume, is an eight-time Pro Bowler and six-time All-Pro. 3 days agoAccording to NFL Media's Tom Pelissero, tight end Zach Gentry will remain with the Steelers. Gentry, a 2019 fifth-round pick, has appeared in 38 games for Pittsburgh in the last four seasons, compiling 39 catches for 303 yards. While the Steelers will get a familiar face back in the mix, his minimal statistical contributions over the years won't mean much from a fantasy standpoint. The veteran, who was released by the Ravens this offseason in a cost-cutting move, has already made stops in Atlanta and Jacksonville as he looks to continue his career in the National Football League. He finished last season with 36 total tackles and a respectable 5.5 sacks in 14 appearances. However, he's battled injuries over the years and seen a decline in production. 3 days agoAccording to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, the Cardinals are looking for a "Christian McCaffrey package" for wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins. In October, the Panthers received a 2023 second, third, and fourth-round pick (and a 2024 fifth-round selection) from San Francisco for McCaffrey. However, factoring in Hopkins' age and hefty salary, getting a similar deal in return may prove difficult for the rebuilding Cardinals. That said, Hopkins has been one of the league's most productive wideouts during his career, amassing 853 catches for 11,298 yards and 71 touchdowns, so he will naturally draw interest from teams needing to fill a void on offense. The 32-year-old has totaled 263 tackles, nine forced fumbles, seven fumble recoveries, and five picks in 176 games. However, he's been the most potent on special teams during his career, earning three Pro Bowl trips because of his success in that area. 3 days agoAccording to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, the Bengals "are looming large" regarding a potential deal with free-agent running back Ezekiel Elliott. Cincinnati is looking to bolster its backfield, so adding the former Buckeye could be on the radar. However, it's still unknown if the Bengals plan on retaining Joe Mixon, although the team could save roughly $8 million against the cap by cutting ties with him. It's no secret the franchise wants to keep Joe Burrow, Ja'Marr Chase, and Tee Higgins moving forward. As a result, adding Elliott may be a logical approach, especially if things align from a fiscal sense. Instead, he'll now be heading west, with San Francisco filling a void on offense. Gonzalez has made just 80.5% of his field goal tries during his career, so he hasn't been the most efficient kicker. The 27-year-old also missed the entire 2022 campaign because of a groin injury suffered in the preseason. The 25-year-old, who played with the Steelers last season, has appeared in 40 games during his career, pulling in 75 catches for 679 yards. He also has five career touchdowns, although he's had just one trip to the end zone in the previous three seasons. There's a chance Sims could move up the depth chart. 3 days agoSeattle Seahawks general manager John Schneider said the team remains in contact with free-agent linebacker Bobby Wagner. Seattle needs another veteran linebacker, and it's their most pressing need, which could align the stars for a reunion between the two sides in 2023. The 32-year-old mutually agreed to part ways with the Los Angeles Rams after just one year. Wagner led LA with 140 tackles and also posted a career-high six sacks, so he's still one of the best real-life and IDP linebackers in the NFL. The Seahawks took him in the second round back in 2012, and Wagner was named a first-team All-Pro in six of his 10 seasons in Seattle. 3 days agoThe Denver Broncos have reached an agreement with free-agent wide receiver Marquez Callaway. The 24-year-old is reunited with head coach Sean Payton after spending the two last seasons with him in New Orleans. Callaway struggled last season, but posted 46 receptions, 698 yards, and six touchdowns in 2021. That being said, the potential is there for Callaway to be a successful receiver in the league. Sadly, he'll have to compete with Courtland Sutton, Jerry Jeudy, Tim Patrick, and K.J. Hamler for snaps in Denver. Possibly, Callaway could have value if someone gets injured or traded. 3 days agoFree-agent wide receiver Marquise Goodwin has signed with the Cleveland Browns. It appears the two sides have agreed on a one-year deal, but the salary is unknown at this moment. The veteran wideout posted 27 receptions, 387 yards, and four touchdowns in 13 games with the Seattle Seahawks last season. The 32-year-old hasn't posted a 400-yard season since 2017. To be fair, the 2017 campaign was the last time that Goodwin was a full-time starter. The expectation is that Goodwin will serve as the fourth option behind Amari Cooper, Elijah Moore, and Donovan Peoples-Jones. 3 days agoCarolina Panthers kicker Zane Gonzalez has been released by the organization. This is odd timing considering the Panthers recently said they were going to stick with Gonzalez. Now, they've re-signed kicker Eddy Pineiro to a two-year deal and parted ways with Gonzalez. The 27-year-old missed all of last season due to a groin issue. Gonzalez has five years of experience under his belt, so he should be able to find another opportunity. However, his career 80.5 field goal percentage doesn't scream reliable kicker. 3 days agoArizona Cardinals quarterback David Blough has re-signed with the organization. Blough spent time with three different organizations last season. However, he ended the season with the Cardinals and even made two starts for the team. He completed 38-of-58 passes for 402 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions in those two starts. Blough has made a total of nine appearances in his four seasons in the league.
