By defeating previously undefeated Nurmagomedov, Dvalishvili has extended his win streak to 12 and surpassed former two-division champion Georges St-Pierre with 92 successful takedown attempts. In 25 minutes of action, Dvalishvili landed seven takedowns and 111 significant strikes. Umar Nurmagomedov suffered a unanimous decision loss to Merab Dvalishvili in the co-main card of UFC 311 on Saturday. Nurmagomedov looked good and was up two rounds on two of the three judges' scorecards before Dvalishvili took over. Kevin Holland suffered a submission loss to Reinier de Ridder on the main card of UFC 311 on Saturday. As the fight began, de Ridder immediately pressured Holland to the fence and secured a takedown. Eventually, de Ridder got a hold of Holland's back, and quickly transitioned to a rear-naked choke, forcing Holland to tap out. In 3:31 of action, Holland landed 11 significant strikes. UFC veteran Serghei Spivac suffered a first-round TKO loss to Jailton Almeida on the main card of UFC 311 on Saturday. Spivac landed a takedown early into the first round and landed some hard punches as well. Almeida was able to reverse the position and land on top. Spivac found a way to get up but was hurt standing up by Almeida's combination and was forced to cover up to defend himself. Almeida then landed brutal ground and pound from back control that forced referee Jason Herzog to stop the contest. Jailton Almeida scored a first-round TKO win over Serghei Spivac on the main card of UFC 311. Spivac scored a takedown on Almeida and landed some strikes on the ground, but it wasn't long before Almeida reversed the position, taking Spivac's back in the process. Almeida and Spivac then got up and started exchanging. Once on their feet, Almeida delivered a devastating combination that forced Spivac to cover up on the canvas as Almeida rained down punches, giving the referee no choice but to stop the contest. Reinier de Ridder scored a first-round submission win over Kevin Holland on the main card of UFC 311. De Ridder was coming off a submission win in his UFC debut and early on, he got Holland down. Once he got Holland down, he was able to control him and locked in a rear naked choke to force the tap. Jamahal Hill suffered a third-round TKO loss to Jiri Prochazka on the main card of UFC 311. Hill entered the bout as a slight favorite but in the first round, was dropped. In the second round, Hill fought well as he landed the better shots as the fight was tied going into the final round. In the third round, Hill was caught and dropped by another shot and after landing some ground and pound, the fight was stopped. Jiri Prochazka scored a third-round TKO win over Jamahal Hill on the main card of UFC 311. Prochazka entered the bout as a slight underdog, but in the first round, he dropped Hill. However, he did have some struggles in the second round as the fight was even going into the third round. In the final round, Prochazka landed heavy shots and eventually dropped Hill again. Islam Makhachev defended his lightweight title for the fourth time at UFC 311 on Saturday. Makhachev was supposed to fight Arman Tsarukyan but on Friday, he was forced out of the bout and Moicano stepped up on short notice. Makhachev did get hit a good punch early on, but he got Moicano down and submitted him in the first round.
