Sam Hartman Ineffective Again in Final Preseason Game
Sam Hartman completed 12 of 17 passes for 114 yards and two interceptions in a 30-3 loss against the Ravens. Hartman also took two sacks for seven yards while playing the whole first half. One of the interceptions was an unfortunate batted ball, but the other was a late and weak throw where the defender easily undercut it. The Notre Dame product struggled again in the final game of the preseason. He completed only 53.3 percent of his passes while throwing four interceptions to no touchdowns across the three games. It remains to be seen if Washington will opt to to keep three quarterbacks on the roster, and if they did, it seems veteran Josh Johnson would be the choice. Both would be options for the practice squad regardless, but Hartman's lackluster camp and preseason makes it unlikely for him to make the final roster.Source: ESPN.com
Washington Commanders quarterback Jacardia Wright Makes a Splash in Preseason Week 3
Jacardia Wright recorded five carries for 65 yards in preseason Week 3. Wright recorded a long run of 61 yards. Wright is an undrafted rookie who is fighting to make the team. Even if he does make the team, he is likely to primarily contribute as a special teams player. Still, Wright flashed a break-away ability that is often sought after in NFL circles. His play on Saturday could have secured a spot on the roster. Wright is not of fantasy interest, but it is nice to know that the Seahawks could have a solid running back depth chart this coming season with George Holani and Damien Martinez impressing throughout various parts of the preseason.Source: ESPN
Seattle Seahawks running back Marquez Valdes-Scantling Records Three Receptions in Preseason Finale
Marquez Valdes-Scantling was the only main wide receiver in Seattle's wide receiving corps who played in the preseason finale on Saturday. He recorded three receptions for 33 yards with a long of 27. The Seahawks struggled to get their offense going throughout the game, and Valdes-Scantling was not immune to the struggles. Valdes-Scantling's participation in the game was puzzling. It could signal that he is fourth or lower on Seattle's wide receiver depth chart. He was unlikely to be a main contributor in fantasy football given his record primarily as a role player throughout his career. The development suggests that rookie wide receiver Tory Horton could be on his way to a substantial role in the offense. Horton is an interesting sleeper and dynasty candidate. The usage of both players will be important to monitor when the Seahawks open their regular season in Week 1.Source: ESPN
Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Damien Martinez Posts Inefficient Day in Final Preseason Game
Damien Martinez ran seven times for 24 yards in Seattle's final preseason game on Saturday. Martinez was coming off a solid showing in Week 2 of the preseason, but his game on Saturday was a bit of a disappointment. To be fair, Seattle's offense had trouble getting going for the whole game, but Martinez may not have been doing himself any favors with his performance. Martinez has been in a battle for the No. 3 running back spot with George Holani. It is unclear who will take the spot, but Martinez may be relegated primarily to special teams given his lack of experience. For now, he is not on the fantasy radar. However, he flashed solid potential in the preseason and could have a role later in his career.Source: ESPN
Seattle Seahawks rookie running back Jalen Milroe Tosses Touchdown in Preseason Finale
Jalen Milroe went 13-for-24 for 148 yards and a touchdown in Seattle's preseason finale on Saturday. Milroe added 31 yards on the ground. Milroe has flashed solid potential throughout the preseason, and he did so again on Saturday. The Seahawks gave Milroe the honor of playing the entire game, so his final stat line was not eye-popping. Seattle struggled to move the ball throughout the day, which is to be expected when a hodgepodge of players are playing in the final dress rehearsal. Fantasy football managers have been keeping an eye on Milroe throughout the preseason due to his potential with his legs. He could turn into a solid fantasy football asset down the line, but for now, he is stuck behind Drew Lock and Sam Darnold on the depth chart.Source: ESPN
Seattle Seahawks quarterback Chris Brooks Totals 15 Yards In Final Preseason Tune-Up
Chris Brooks was the second back to enter the game for the Packers in their 20-7 victory over the Seattle Seahawks in their third and final preseason game. Brooks took over duties after Josh Jacobs received the first two snaps of the game. Playing seven snaps of his own, Brooks exited and gave way to Emanuel Wilson. In Brooks' seven snaps across the last play of the first drive and the first six plays of the next drive, Brooks took four carries for 15 yards. With the injury to MarShawn Lloyd (hamstring) putting his Week 1 status in doubt, Brooks' entrance into the game ahead of Wilson seems to put Brooks as the preferred contingent play in Week 1 should Lloyd not be healthy. That said, Brooks should only be drafted in the deepest of leagues as a pure handcuff option.Source: ESPN
Green Bay Packers running back Emanuel Wilson Sees Eight Carries, 38 Yards in Packers Preseason Win
Emanuel Wilson led the Packers in rushing yards in their final preseason game, a 20-7 win over the Seattle Seahawks. Wilson came into the game after Chris Brooks left in the middle of the Packers' second drive. Playing primarily at the end of the first quarter and almost halfway into the second quarter. Leading the team in rushing yards with 38 and tying for the most carries (8) on the day, Wilson is third in the pecking order for running back touches behind Josh Jacobs and Brooks. Wilson is very likely to break camp with the Packers if MarShawn Lloyd (hamstring) isn't healthy, but Wilson shouldn't be drafted in fantasy leagues unless more injuries strike the running back room in Green Bay.Source: ESPN
Green Bay Packers running back Romeo Doubs Catches Touchdown Pass on Only Target
Romeo Doubs scored on his only look from quarterback Malik Willis in the Packers' 20-7 win over the Seattle Seahawks in their final preseason game. The Packers' wide receiver room has been decimated by injuries during the preseason, but it was a bit of an eye-opener to see Doubs, who has run the most routes for the Packers over the last two seasons, play the first two series of the game. Doubs scored on a one-yard snag from starting quarterback Malik Willis, and Doubs' day was over after that. The Packers can now rest up for their Week 1 home opener against the Detroit Lions. For fantasy purposes, Doubs is more of a late-round fantasy wide receiver with capped production upside, but he should be on the field quite a bit.Source: ESPN
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Micah Parsons Undergoes MRI on Back, Gets "Pretty Clean" Results
Source: Jon Machota - The Athletic
Dallas Cowboys superstar edge rusher Micah Parsons (back) recently underwent an MRI on his back, and the results "came back pretty clean," head coach Brian Schottenheimer said. Parsons hasn't been practicing with the Cowboys amid a public spat over his contract and a trade request, though he has also cited back tightness as a reason for sitting out. After getting good results from the MRI, it doesn't appear Parsons' back will prevent him from playing Week 1 against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sept. 4. The bigger question will continue to be whether the 26-year-old will find common ground in contract negotiations with the Jerry Jones-led Cowboys. If not, the Cowboys could open the season without the face of their defense and someone who has already amassed 52.5 sacks in his first four years in the NFL.Matthew Golden Reels In 39-Yard Pass In Packers' Victory
Matthew Golden hauled in a 39-yard strike on two targets from starting quarterback Malik Willis in the Packers' 20-7 victory over the Seattle Seahawks at Lambeau Field. Golden, the Packers' first-round pick this past April, had to adjust and come back to the ball a little bit, but made a nice adjustment downfield to secure the longest reception of the day for both teams. The Packers' intent on selecting Golden in the first round signals a big role for the talented rookie out of Texas, and fantasy managers agree. Golden has been a mid-round upside staple in an offense that looks to generate more offense through the air this season than last season's iteration. Could Golden be the next fantasy find like last season's Ladd McConkey and Brian Thomas Jr.? Golden certainly has that level of upside as a WR3 in fantasy drafts.Source: ESPN
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Younghoe Koo Makes Two Field Goals in Final Tuneup
Younghoe Koo converted two of his three field goal attempts in Friday's 31-13 preseason loss to the Cowboys, making from 28 and 38 yards away while missing from 51 yards out. The 31-year-old also converted his lone extra point attempt. After Lenny Krieg handled kicking duties in the team's first preseason game, Koo has taken over in the last two and appears to be in line to be named the Falcons' starter for Week 1 of the 2025 season. The eighth-year pro had a down year in 2024, but also battled through a hip injury that ultimately cut his season short. Now fully healthy, fantasy managers should have confidence in him, however, there are higher upside options available in 12-team leagues.Source: ESPN
Atlanta Falcons placekicker Jake Bobo Diagnosed With a Concussion
Jake Bobo (head) suffered a concussion in Saturday's preseason finale against the Green Bay Packers, but he's in "good spirits," head coach Mike Macdonald said. Bobo had to leave the Seahawks' 20-7 loss early after he collided with teammate Tyler Hall on a punt return. He finished the game with one catch for 12 yards and wrapped up his preseason with five receptions for 51 yards and a pair of touchdowns. While the 27-year-old combined for just 32 catches for 303 yards and three scores in his first two seasons, he has been a valuable contributor on special teams.Source: NFL.com
Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Tre'Davious White Dealing With Lower-Leg Injury
Buffalo Bills cornerback Tre'Davious White (leg) suffered a "lower-leg injury" in practice on Thursday, general manager Brandon Beane said Saturday. Beane isn't sure when the Bills will get White back, which adds another question mark in their secondary. White starred withCarson Wentz to Work Out for Vikings
