The New York Giants already announced that they are not picking up the fifth-year option on offensive tackle Evan Neal heading into the final year of his rookie deal in 2025, and now he's set for a position change. The New York Post's Paul Schwartz reports that the Giants will attempt to resuscitate Neal's NFL career by moving him from tackle to guard. The 24-year-old former seventh overall pick in the 2022 NFL draft out of Alabama has failed to live up to his draft position at right tackle and was benched early in the 2024 season. In addition to his poor play, Neal also dealt with hip and rib injuries and played in just 16 games over the last two seasons. Even if Neal takes well to the position switch in 2025, there's no guarantee that he'll stick around in the Big Apple beyond next year. He is expected to compete at the right-guard spot in training camp this summer.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerSource: New York Post - Paul Schwartz

The Dallas Cowboys announced on Wednesday that they waived running back Malik Davis, offensive linemen Jack Anderson and Earl Bostick and linebacker Brock Mogensen. Davis spent the entire 2024 season on the Cowboys' practice squad and then signed a Reserve/Futures deal with the organization in early January. The 26-year-old former undrafted free agent out of the University of Florida played in only three games with Dallas in 2023 and has 38 rushing attempts for 161 yards and one touchdown in his two years in the NFL. Davis played 45 snaps on special teams in three games in 2023 and wasn't used at all on offense. He will now be looking to join another team before training camps kick off at the end of July.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerSource: Dallas Cowboys Public Relations

The Kansas City Chiefs released tight ends Anthony Firkser and Baylor Cupp, linebacker Shaun Bradley, offensive guard McKade Mettauer and safety Jason Taylor on Wednesday, according to KPRC's Aaron Wilson. They also received an international exemption for offensive tackle Chukwuebuka Godrick. Firkser is the biggest name of the bunch. The 30-year-old veteran tight end played for both the Chiefs and New York Jets last year but didn't contribute at all on offense and wasn't targeted in the passing game in seven total games with both teams. He signed a Reserve/Futures deal after KC's Super Bowl loss to the Philadelphia Eagles but will now be searching for a new organization after the 2025 NFL draft. Firkser hasn't caught a pass in the NFL since 2022 with the Atlanta Falcons.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerSource: KPRC 2 Sports - Aaron Wilson

The New England Patriots are not picking up the fifth-year option for the 2026 season on offensive lineman Cole Strange, a source told ESPN's Jeremy Fowler. The option for the 2026 season would have paid Strange around $16.7 million. The 26-year-old center is now in line to hit the open market after the 2025 season, unless the Patriots sign him to a long-term extension before then. He was the 29th overall pick by New England in the 2022 NFL draft out of Chattanooga. Strange started 17 games at left guard in his rookie season in 2022 but struggled with injuries in each of the past two seasons, playing in a combined 13 games (12 starts). He suited up for only three games (two starts) last year. Now that he's back to full health in advance of the 2025 campaign, he's expected to serve in a backup role behind newcomer Garrett Bradbury.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerSource: ESPN.com - Jeremy Fowler

The Green Bay Packers have officially picked up defensive lineman Devonte Wyatt's fifth-year option ahead of the May 1 deadline, according to NFL insider Jordan Schultz. Wyatt was the No. 28 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft out of Georgia and has tallied 74 tackles (43 solo), 12 sacks, one forced fumble, three fumble recoveries, and 12 run stuffs in 47 career games. The 300-pounder has pass-rush skills from the interior that are valuable to any defense. He is now locked in with the organization through the 2026 campaign and will earn $12.9 million guaranteed on the final year of his rookie deal.--Jackson Sparks - RotoBallerSource: Jordan Schultz

New York Jets quarterback Jordan Travis (leg) is retiring from football after being medically advised to end his career, he announced on X. The former Florida State quarterback suffered a major leg injury in November of 2023 after leading the Seminoles to an 11-0 record. His season ended ahead of postseason action, but he was still selected by the Jets in the fifth round of the 2024 NFL Draft. Travis spent the entire 2024 season rehabilitating his injury, but rehab efforts were unsuccessful. Travis never got to play a snap in the NFL, but he'll end his football journey at age 24 with an ACC Offensive Player of the Year award and two all-ACC selections in 2022 and 2023.--Jackson Sparks - RotoBallerSource: Jordan Travis

The Pittsburgh Steelers released defensive lineman Montravius Adams on Wednesday, the team announced on X. Adams spent the last four seasons with the Steelers following one season with the New Orleans Saints and four seasons with the Green Bay Packers. The former third-round pick out of Auburn in 2017 saw his playing time dramatical dip in 2024, recording zero starts after making 17 starts in the two seasons prior. Overall, the veteran has tallied 123 tackles (61 solo), 2.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, seven pass deflections, and 14.5 run stuffs in 96 career games. While he's unlikely to be a clear-cut starter moving forward, there are plenty of teams lacking interior defensive line depth that could be interested in his services.--Jackson Sparks - RotoBallerSource: Steelers On X

The Philadelphia Eagles exercised the fifth-year option on defensive tackle Jordan Davis, according to NFL insider Tom Pelissero. Davis, the former No. 13 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft out of Georgia, has tallied 90 tackles (41 solo), 3.5 sacks, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, four pass deflections, and 13 run stuffs in 47 career games. His counting stats don't do his play justice as an interior run-clogger, but he's an important piece on the dominant Philly defensive front, so this move comes as no surprise. This will keep Davis with the organization through the 2026 campaign, barring a trade or unexpected situation.--Jackson Sparks - RotoBallerSource: NFL.com

The Minnesota Vikings agreed to terms with undrafted rookie wide receiver Myles Price on Wednesday, according to NFL.com. Price spent his final collegiate season at Indiana following four years at Texas Tech. Overall, the Dallas, Texas native totaled 199 receptions for 2,217 yards and 13 touchdowns in 55 career games. His best season of production came in his 2021 sophomore year, compiling 38 receptions for 523 yards and two scores. He handled 42 punt returns and 59 kick returns in his career, so a special-teams role is likely his best shot to stick around and make the team's 53-man roster in 2025.--Jackson Sparks - RotoBallerSource: NFL.com

The NFL is fining the Atlanta Falcons $250,000 and defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich $100,000 due to the leak of quarterback Shedeur Sanders' phone number ahead of the 2025 NFL Draft, according to NFL insiders Ian Rapoport, Tom Pelissero, and Mike Garafolo. Ulbrich's son, Jax, used the phone number to prank call Sanders on Day 2 of last week's draft. The 21-year-old issued a public apology days later, and the NFL is looking into ways to stop this from happening in the future.--Jackson Sparks - RotoBallerSource: NFL.com
