The San Diego Padres' pursuit of Tampa Bay Rays starting pitcher Chris Archer has lost momentum, although things could change on Tuesday up against the trade deadline, according to a source. It always seemed like a long shot for the Padres to actually land Archer. The Rays have been unsure if they want to move Archer because of his team-friendly deal, but they would obviously move him if they received the right package of talent. Stay tuned.--Keith Hernandez
