Packers Were In Talks For Jonathan Taylor
1 year agoIn addition to the Miami Dolphins, the Green Bay Packers were in talks with the Indianapolis Colts and had legitimate interest in trading for running back Jonathan Taylor, according to sources. The Colts didn't get what they deemed an acceptable offer for Taylor and kept him on their roster on the Physically Unable to Perform list to start the season. Even though a trade didn't go down on Tuesday, Taylor can still be traded and there is still trade interest in the All-Pro, according to a source. The NFL trade deadline is Oct. 31. It remains unclear what the Packers offered or what their level of interest might be moving forward, but they currently have three RBs on their 53-man roster in Aaron Jones, AJ Dillon and undrafted rookie Emanuel Wilson. Taylor's fantasy stock has plummeted now that he's going to miss the first four games of 2023.
