Odell Beckham Jr. Dealing With Grade 3 AC Joint Sprain
3 years agoCleveland Browns wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. (shoulder) is reportedly dealing with a Grade 3 AC joint sprain, according to a league source. Beckham is still trying to do everything in his power to be a game-time decision on Thursday night against the Denver Broncos and play in Week 7. Even if OBJ does tough it out and play this week, he'll have backup quarterback Case Keenum throwing him the pigskin, which will be a downgrade over Baker Mayfield (shoulder). Expect Cleveland to try and play ball-control football with the running game while not asking Keenum to do too much through the air, although Denver's defense has been vulnerable to the pass the last three weeks, allowing 648 receiving yards and four touchdowns to wideouts. Beckham will be a shaky WR3/flex if he suits up, while Donovan People-Jones, who has come alive the last two weeks, should be the top target if Beckham is ruled out.
