Nolan Gorman Dealing With Lower-Back Tightness
2 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals manager Oliver Marmol said that infielder Nolan Gorman (back) was removed from Thursday's game early against the Los Angeles Angels because of lower-back tightness. Taylor Motter entered the game in the sixth inning to pinch hit for Gorman. The 22-year-old infielder went 0-for-3 with a run scored in the contest before departing, and fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day going into the weekend until we know more. In just his second MLB season, Gorman entered Thursday's game hitting a respectable .277 (26-for-94) with five doubles, seven home runs, 23 RBI, two stolen bases and eight runs scored in 108 plate appearances and 27 games played.
