Tampa Bay Lightning winger Nikita Kucherov scored a pair of goals as the Bolts took down the Nashville Predators in Tuesday night's season opener. The veteran's first-period tally was the first goal of the 2023-24 NHL season while he added an empty netter with just over one second remaining in the contest to help seal the 5-3 victory. Kucherov also added five shots on goal and one hit as part of his 21:19 of ice time on the night. The 30-year-old is coming off yet another massive season as he tallied 30 goals and 113 points while skating in all 82 regular-season games last season. He also posted 271 shots on goal and a hefty 50 power-play points on the campaign and appears set to produce another all-world performance for fantasy managers again this time around.--Brenton Kemp
