Nick Taylor has been unbelievable at Scottsdale the past two years. The Canadian golfer won the tournament in 2024 in a dramatic playoff over Charley Hoffman. 2023 saw him nearly upend Scottie Scheffler before finishing runner-up. Taylor has come a long way. Earlier this year, he won in a playoff at the Sony Open. For the most part after an early disaster at The Sentry, Taylor has found his way once more. He does not play the majors well. However, tournaments like Scottsdale bring out a different golfer in him. Taylor does not drive the ball well (290.7 yards - 171st). However, his approach to the green ranks 8th and that sets up a lot of free putts. Last year, he averaged around 28.5 putts per first and fourth round. Taylor seems to be counted out often this week. He could be great from a Top 10 betting standpoint. --Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
