Nick Kurtz Out on Sunday
Nick Kurtz (hip) is not in the starting nine on Sunday when they conclude a series against the Philadelphia Phillies. Kurtz was pulled from Saturday's contest due to a left hip flexor injury. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his status leading up to their next contest on Tuesday evening against the Houston Astros. As a result, Logan Davidson will cover first base and will bat in the six-hole. After a slow start to his MLB career, the former fourth overall pick has begun to find his footing. Over his last five contests, Kurtz has launched four home runs and brought in nine RBI. During this stretch, he has posted four multi-hit outings. If Kurtz were to remain out, Davidson and Tyler Soderstrom will likely see most of the opportunities at first base.
