Nathaniel Lowe Goes Yard in Loss
Nathaniel Lowe went 2-for-5 with a solo home run in his team's 10-6 home loss to the Colorado Rockies. The veteran also doubled, scored twice, and struck out. Lowe launched his tenth homer of the season off Rockies reliever Anthony Molina in the bottom of the eighth inning to cut their deficit to 10-2. He also doubled an inning later and would score again as the Nats attempted to make a comeback, but it was too little, too late. Lowe has struggled this season to the tune of a .230/.298/.383 triple slash after batting .262 or better over the previous four seasons. Strangely, he typically excels against left-handed pitching, but is just 18-for-86 (.209) off lefties with a brutal 5:32 BB:K ratio.
