Colorado Avalanche center Nathan MacKinnon has been ruled out of Wednesday's season opener against Chicago. General manager Joe Sakic has admitted that MacKinnon tested positive for the coronavirus. Head coach Jared Bednar has also returned a positive test and will miss the season opener. MacKinnon is asymptomatic and Colorado hopes that he might be ready for Saturday's home game against St. Louis. With MacKinnon out, Nazem Kadri moves up to the first line, and J.T. Compher is set to center the second line. Playing with Mikko Rantanen and Gabriel Landeskog will give Kadri's fantasy stock a very nice boost.--Taavi Pailk
