Mitch Garver Collects Three Hits, Homers In Win Over Astros
1 year agoTexas Rangers catcher Mitch Garver came to play in the Game 6 win over the Houston Astros on Sunday night in the American League Championship Series, going 3-for-4 with a home run, a double, two RBI and two runs scored while serving as the designated hitter to help Texas force a decisive Game 7 in Houston on Monday night. The 32-year-old's home run tied the game at one-all in the second inning, and he doubled in the eighth. Garver is now hitting .238 (5-for-21) with three RBI and three runs scored in six games in the ALCS. Overall in this year's postseason, he's gone 9-for-31 (.290) with two homers, two doubles, 10 RBI and six runs scored, so he's been a big part of their offense after hitting .270 (80-for-296) with 19 home runs in the regular season.
