Miles Sanders Lands On Injured Reserve
3 years agoThe Philadelphia Eagles are placing running back Miles Sanders (ankle) on Injured Reserve on Friday, according to a source. Sanders will now miss the next three games after suffering a low ankle sprain in the Week 7 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders, but he should be back soon after he's eligible to return. The 24-year-old, and the Eagles run game in general, has been a huge disappointment in 2021. The good news is they have a great matchup against the winless Detroit Lions this Sunday. Rookie Kenneth Gainwell and Boston Scott will pick up the slack, with Jordan Howard a possibility to pitch in as well. Gainwell will be the better PPR play, while Scott will be a touchdown-dependent RB3/flex with upside as the likely early down replacement with Sanders out.
