Colorado Avalanche forwards Mikko Rantanen and Joonas Donskoi both had two goals Thursday night, helping the team beat Calgary 5-3. Donskoi, who made his team debut, opened the scoring with a power-play goal and finished things off as well with an empty-netter. Nathan MacKinnon started his season with a power-play assist, while Philipp Grubauer pushed aside 27 shots. Rantanen missed the preseason due to a contract dispute, but it looks like he hasn't missed a beat, and his line with MacKinnon and Gabriel Landeskog is ready to dominate again. Donskoi, who's shown an ability to score in spurts, offers some nice depth scoring for the team.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
