Mike Trout Needs More RBI Opportunities
6 years agoLos Angeles Angels outfielder Mike Trout and Co. will open up a series in Detroit on Tuesday night against the Tigers. Since returning to the lineup from a groin injury on April 15, Trout is only 16-for-68 (.235) with only six extra-base hits. Furthermore, Trout is 100 at-bats into his season, but only 10 of those plate appearances have been with runners in scoring position. For the best offensive player in the game, his lack of chances to drive in runs is killing the Angels offense right now. There is plenty of time to turn it around but Trout, but he is failing to live up to the hype of being a top fantasy draft choice thus far.
