The Edmonton Oilers' veteran backstop faced 35 shots and stopped 37 of them in a 4-2 victory over the Montreal Canadiens. Mike Smith is now on a three-game win streak and has been very good in two of those three contests. The club managed the win despite receiving no goals from Leon Draisaitl (two assists) or Connor McDavid (one assist). Center Ryan Nugent-Hopkins had a goal and an assist. He now has eight points over his last five games. Overall, he has 10 goals and 28 points in 40 games. If he stays hot, he has an outside shot at a third straight 20-goal season. Forward Alex Chiasson had a goal and now has three points in his past two games. He also chipped in two hits. On the losing side, Jesperi Kotkaniemi and Phillip Danault had goals. --Marc Hulet - RotoBaller
