Mike Leake Has 1.66 ERA Over Last Three Starts
7 years agoSeattle Mariners starter Mike Leake will take the ball Thursday night when the team opens up a series with the Tampa Bay Rays. Leake has been impressive over his last three starts, allowing only four runs in his last 21 2/3 innings pitched for an ERA of 1.66. The string of strong starts has come at a perfect time for the veteran pitcher, whose ERA has dropped from a bloated 6.00 to 4.71 since May 22. Leake has been fairly decent this season outside of two disastrous starts, but he needs to cut down on the 10 home runs he has allowed in 72 2/3 innings pitched this season.
