Mike Clevinger On Track To Return This Weekend
Mike Clevinger (triceps) is on track to come off the injured list and rejoin the team during their series against the Milwaukee Brewers from June 2-5. Skipper Bob Melvin said Clevinger would probably start the final game of the series on Sunday if everything goes well in his final bullpen session. The 31-year-old right-hander felt something in his arm after he threw five shutout innings on May 17 against the Philadelphia Phillies. The Padres put Clevinger on the injured list mostly as a precaution, considering he's returning from Tommy John surgery this year. He's been solid in his three starts in 2022, allowing five earned runs on 11 hits while striking out 15 and walking five in 14 innings pitched.
