4 months agoSt. Louis Cardinals pitcher Michael Wacha was just demoted to the bullpen and has a 5.54 ERA on the season, and he might be a trade candidate this summer while in the final year of his current deal. The 28-year-old could be dealt before the July 31 trade deadline, but manager Mike Shildt doesn't want to "pigeonhole" Wacha as only a long man out of the bullpen. While there is a chance that Wacha could once again be fantasy relevant if he's traded and is used in a starting rotation again with his new team, but that could very well be doubtful. He serves really no purpose in fantasy leagues if he's pitching in relief for any team.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
