Michael Thorbjornsen Looks To Get Things Going In The Right Direction At Mexico Open
After two missed cuts to start the season, Michael Thorbjornsen finished T74 in Phoenix two weeks ago. The 23-year-old does have some upside this week given his 312.4 driving distance (ranked 21st on Tour) and his proximity with longer irons; however, many negatives make this immensely talented player hard to trust until things improve. Putting has been downright scary at times, and his strokes gained around the green average (-1.134) is the worst on the PGA Tour. Both things luckily take a bit of a backseat at Vidanta Vallarta, so if there was ever a place to take a chance and see what happens, this could be the place to take the risk.
