Micah Parsons Still Up in the Air to Play in Week 1
Green Bay Packers All-Pro pass-rusher Micah Parsons (back) has been practicing this week as he attempts to play in the Week 1 regular-season opener against the division-rival Detroit Lions this Sunday, but one source said it's still uncertain if he'll be active. Parsons has been dealing with an L4/L5 facet-joint sprain in his back and might need an epidural injection before Sunday's game to help him play. Before the Cowboys traded him last week, they prescribed him a five-day plan of an anti-inflammatory corticosteroid -- a prednisone to help him recover from his back tightness. Dallas also had him on a physical-therapy program. Parsons is still a high-end pass-rusher in IDP fantasy formats, but managers might need a backup plan going into Week 1 of the regular season. It's also possible that Parsons doesn't see his normal number of snaps if he makes his Packers debut this weekend.
