Dallas Cowboys All-Pro pass-rusher Micah Parsons (back) was not on the practice field on Thursday for the first time during training camp while dealing with back tightness, multiple sources told Todd Archer of ESPN. Parsons received treatment during practice. In addition to what is probably a minor back injury, Parsons' Week 1 availability for the season opener on Sept. 4 against the division-rival Philadelphia Eagles is in question as he continues to negotiate a contract extension with owner Jerry Jones. The 26-year-old requested a trade late last week with the Cowboys refusing to speak with his agent about a new deal. The two sides don't appear to be close to a deal, although there are still several weeks before the season begins. Parsons' contract situation will definitely have a negative effect on his IDP fantasy value as long as he remains without a new deal.--Keith HernandezRead More News
