Anthony Richardson Sr. Won't Come Off Injured Reserve This Week
Indianapolis Colts head coach Shane Steichen said on Monday that quarterback Anthony Richardson Sr. (eye) will not be activated from Injured Reserve this week, according to Kevin Bowen of 107.5 The Fan. Richardson's status is suddenly worth watching now that starter Daniel Jones is out for the rest of the season after tearing his Achilles in Sunday's loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars. Rookie Riley Leonard (knee) replaced Jones in Week 14, but now he's up in the air to play in Week 15 on Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks due to a knee injury. Indy is hoping that Leonard can play, but if he can't, Brett Rypien would be forced into making his first NFL start since 2023 with the Los Angeles Rams. Richardson underwent orbital surgery after a resistance band snapped and hit him in the face before a game back in mid-October. He's in danger of missing the rest of the year.
