Melvin Gordon III Looking To Keep Momentum
4 years agoDenver Broncos running back Melvin Gordon III had his best game of the season in last week's loss to the Chiefs, rushing for a season-high 131 yards on 15 carries. He also had one catch for 11 yards. The problem is that Phillip Lindsay continues to be a thorn in Gordon's side with the two splitting carries pretty evenly, even though Gordon has been the much better ball-carrier in recent weeks. Gordon will be facing a Panthers Defense that was absolutely horrendous against the run in 2019. They've improved a bit, especially in the last five weeks, but they've still allowed the eighth-most fantasy points per game to the position in 2020. Fantasy managers would like Gordon to be used more in the passing game like he was earlier this season, but he's still the preferred back over Lindsay and will have RB2 upside on Sunday.
