Max Homa A High-Upside Play At Farmers Insurance Open
Max Homa has played just one PGA event in 2025 at The Sentry, where he finished T26. He gained strokes across the board, except in putting, an area that has been a challenge for him, ranking 106th in strokes gained in putting in 2024. However, over the past five years, Homa ranks first in total strokes gained in his home state of California, the site of the Farmers Insurance Open. He also ranks second in greens-in-regulation percentage and 16th in driving accuracy, two key stats for this week. Additionally, Homa ranks sixth in approaches from 175-200 yards, a distance that accounts for 20% of all approach shots at this Torrey Pines course. Homa has proven himself at Torrey Pines, winning in 2023 and finishing T13 in 2024. At $8,600 on DraftKings, Homa offers significant upside for his price tag.
