Marvin Mims Jr. 2024 Fantasy Outlook: Potential Diamond in the Rough or an Afterthought?
7 months agoMany in the fantasy community were excited when the Denver Broncos traded up into Round 2 of the 2023 NFL Draft to take WR Marvin Mims Jr. at No. 63 overall, but the rookie WR finished with just 32 targets for 22 receptions to go along with 377 receiving yards and 1 TD, although Mims did average a whopping 17.1 yards per reception. After WR Jerry Jeudy was traded to Cleveland, Mims' only competition for targets will come from veteran WR Courtland Sutton, Josh Reynolds, and rookie WR Troy Franklin. The fantasy markets appear down on the Broncos' offense for 2024 as they will likely feature rookie QB Bo Nix under center, but this season will tell us a lot about just how great of a Head Coach Sean Payton truly is. Expect Mims to start the season as the team's slot WR, but his fate will likely be heavily tied to the success of his rookie quarterback. He can be very easily stacked at the very end of best ball drafts with Nix.
