Martin Truex Jr. could feel another NASCAR championship in his grasp, but the dream ending was not there. Truex led 72 laps on Sunday but did not lead lap No. 312. In the end, the No. 19 car settled for second place. The Joe Gibbs Racing driver did win Stage 1 but slipped back to fourth after Stage 2. There were a few times where it looked like Truex could run and hide. Unfortunately for him, his car just could not sustain the run. He could not duplicate the spring result and finished 0.398 seconds behind Kyle Larson. Truex will be one to watch in 2022 again with the Toyota car.--Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
