The Pittsburgh Steelers traded wide receiver Martavis Bryant to the Oakland Raiders in exchange for a third-round pick. Bryant had fallen out of favor in Pittsburgh in 2017 and rumors were flying that he was being shopped around. Bryant had flashed early in his career but was suspended for all of 2016 for violating the league’s substance-abuse policy. He was largely disappointing in his return in 2017 and was overshadowed by rookie receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster. Bryant is a dangerous deep threat who will be an interesting fit in Oakland. Bryant will benefit from quarterback Derek Carr’s big arm if he can get onto the field. This move is likely bad news for speedy slot receiver Seth Roberts. It also is a sign that Oakland may be considering moving wide receiver Amari Cooper or newly-acquired receiver Jordy Nelson into the slot. Both of those receivers have excelled when playing out of the slot in the past. Bryant's fantasy value is on the rise with this move.--Tyger McGuiggan
