Mark Reynolds To See More Action
6 years agoColorado Rockies first baseman Mark Reynolds was initially kept on the roster so he could serve as a bench bat for the team, but he’s quickly finding himself in a more regular role with first baseman Daniel Murphy on the injured list due to a finger injury. Reynolds is only a couple years removed from a 30-homer season -- that coincidentally happened during his last stint with the Rockies -- so he could provide some pop even if he’s 35 years old. With that said, it seems crowded on the right side of the infield as Ryan McMahon, Garrett Hampson and Pat Valaika are also competing for at-bats between first and second base.
