Mark Reynolds Knocks In Winning Run
6 years agoColorado Rockies first baseman Mark Reynolds was the hero on Tuesday in Boston as he smacked a game-winning single in the 11th inning of a game Colorado should have lost. The Rockies overcame a 17-strikeout performance by Chris Sale to send the game into extra innings, and Reynolds came through in the clutch. Reynolds has recently gotten an uptick in playing time due to Daniel Murphy coming back a bit slowly from his thumb injury, but Reynolds is still playing pretty terribly overall, hitting just .195 and striking out 34% of the time. With a bevy of young talent waiting for playing time, it's ridiculous that Reynolds sees the field, but if he goes on one of his famous hot streaks, he'll suddenly become fantasy-interesting for a couple of weeks. He's not there yet though.
