Mark Ingram II Out 3-4 Weeks With MCL Sprain
2 years agoNew Orleans Saints running back Mark Ingram II (knee) suffered a Grade 2 MCL sprain in the Week 8 win over the Las Vegas Raiders, according to a source. It means that Ingram will likely be out for three to four weeks. The veteran running back's injury could have been a lot worse, but the Saints will be without him for a short period of time. The 32-year-old didn't see a single carry and caught his only target for a two-yard gain before leaving on Sunday. In his absence, Alvin Kamara went off for 18 carries, 62 yards and a touchdown on the ground while adding nine catches for 96 yards and two additional scores. Dwayne Washington also saw four carries, but with Ingram out moving forward, tight end Taysom Hill should benefit the most with extra touches out of the backfield.
