5 years agoJacksonville Jaguars defensive tackle Marcell Dareus (abdomen) is having core muscle surgery on Thursday, according to sources. The procedure has a high rate of a full recovery and generally comes with a four- to six-week timetable for a return. Dareus is one of the team's best run-stopping defenders, so Jacksonville's D will be a little more vulnerable on the ground while he's out. They still have the talent to overcome Dareus' absence as a group, though, and they'll be a strong play against a Jets team that just got shut out by the Patriots on Monday night.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
