Madison Bumgarner Takes Loss Despite Quality Start
6 years agoSan Francisco Giants starting pitcher Madison Bumgarner allowed two earned runs, six hits and a walk with four strikeouts over six innings in a loss on Wednesday against the Miami Marlins. He threw 55 of his 81 pitches for strikes while uncorking a wild pitch and issuing an intentional walk. The loss was the first since April 26, a span of six straight starts. MadBum has lasted at least six innings in each of the past six outings, posting five quality starts. However, he has just two wins to show for it. Fantasy owners need to be patient, as Bumgarner is pitching well after an ugly April.
