New Jersey Devils goaltender Mackenzie Blackwood took a second consecutive loss when his squad was beaten 2-1 in overtime by Washington on Friday. He saved 38 of 40 shots in the game and almost had a chance to test himself in a shootout, with the Capitals netting the game-winner just 21 seconds before the end. Blackwood has suffered back-to-back losses after winning four of five starts, with both defeats coming after regulation time. The 24-year-old was slumping at the beginning of March, but he has improved to 9-9-1 for the season. Blackwood boasts a 2.82 goals-against average for the season with a .913 save percentage and one shutout. His next chance to start comes on Sunday in a rematch against the Capitals. He is winless in four outings in the matchup in 2020-21.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
