Luke Weaver Tweaks Hamstring
Luke Weaver (hamstring) tweaked his hamstring before entering Sunday's contest against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Erik Boland of Newsday Sports reported that Weaver "felt something" in his hamstring while stretching in the bullpen. As a result, Tim Hill was given the nod to pitch in the ninth inning. Fantasy managers should continue to keep an eye on his status leading up to their next game on Tuesday evening against the Cleveland Guardians. Weaver has emerged as the team's top closer and has performed at an elite level in this role. Through 25 2/3 innings, the right-hander has held a stellar 1.05 ERA with a 0.70 WHIP. He has tallied eight saves and added six holds. If Weaver were to miss time, Devin Williams would be the likely candidate to earn a majority of the save opportunities.
