The Detroit Lions are releasing third-year pass-rusher James Houston on Tuesday, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler. The 2022 sixth-round pick out of Jackson State registered eight sacks in just seven games as a rookie but has recorded only one sack in his last 10 games and has been in and out of the Detroit lineup. The team traded for veteran Za'Darius Smith a few weeks ago to help mend to loss of Aidan Hutchinson, so it appears there was no role on the defense for Houston moving forward. Because of his promising 2022 campaign, another team might be interested in bringing him in.--Jackson Sparks - RotoBallerRead More News
