The Detroit Lions defense will kick off its season against the 49ers in Week 1. The Lions are basically starting from scratch under new head coach Dan Campbell and the defense will be a work-in-progress all season. The Lions are excited about the prospects of their front-seven but the defense surrendered 38 passing touchdowns last season and the most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks.
