Lions Add Craig Reynolds To The Active Roster
3 years agoThe Detroit Lions signed running back Craig Reynolds from the practice squad to the 53-man active roster on Monday, according to a source. Reynolds, who has 37 carries for 195 yards in the last two weeks with D'Andre Swift (shoulder) and Jamaal Williams (illness) out, is now signed with Detroit through next season. The 25-year-old was the NFL's leading rusher on Sunday in the shocking upset over the Arizona Cardinals, carrying the rock 26 times for 112 yards (4.31 yards per carry). He also caught his only target for five yards. Swift and Williams should both eventually return, but Reynolds is certainly worth a waiver-wire pickup for those in need at the position, and his performance the last two weeks could've earned him at least a small role alongside Swift and Williams when they are back.
