LeGarrette Blount Announces Retirement
4 years agoFormer NFL running back LeGarrette Blount announced his retirement on Instagram on Saturday. The three-time Super Bowl champion last played in 2018 and announced the news on his 34th birthday. Blount had a bruising rushing style in his nine seasons in the league with six different teams. He began his career as an undrafted free agent out of Oregon with the Titans. Blount spent each of his final two seasons with the Eagles and the Lions. He won two of his Super Bowl rings with the Patriots and one with Philadelphia when they beat the Patriots. He'll finish his career with 6,306 rushing yards and 56 touchdowns. In 11 playoff games he had 600 yards and 11 scores.
