Latavius Murray A Shaky Starting Option In Week 7
2 years agoDenver Broncos running back Latavius Murray surprisingly led the team's backfield in the Week 6 overtime loss to the Los Angeles Chargers in his debut with the Broncos when he carried the ball 15 times for 66 yards. He also caught just one pass for minus-two yards. Melvin Gordon III was inexplicably benched after starting the game, and he finished with just three carries for eight yards. But head coach Nathaniel Hackett said that Gordon will start this Sunday against the New York Jets. The 32-year-old Murray will have to come off the bench again, and fantasy managers desperate enough to start him as an RB3/flex will be rolling the dice in what has been an extremely lackluster Broncos offense through the first six weeks.
