Lamar Jackson Made OBJ No Assurances
2 years agoNew Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. said that he didn't get any assurances from quarterback Lamar Jackson that he would be the team's QB in 2023. Meanwhile, general manager Eric DeCosta said he hasn't spoken with Jackson since the team signed Beckham, but he remains optimistic that the former MVP will be Baltimore's starting QB this year. "Lamar is in our plans," DeCosta said. "We're hopeful to still get a long-term deal. He's the right player for this team." If Jackson doesn't sign an offer sheet from another team this offseason, he can either play under the $32.416 million non-exclusive franchise tag or sit out the entire season. The Ravens have added Beckham and Nelson Agholor this offseason in free agency and are fully expected to give Jackson some more help at the position in the upcoming draft.
