Kyrie Irving Scores a Sloppy 27 Points With Six Turnovers
7 years agoBoston Celtics point guard Kyrie Irving got his on Tuesday, but it took him 24 shots to do so. Irving finished with 27 points on 8-for-24 from the field, with five makes coming from deep. He didn't pass the ball particularly well against the Pelicans (two assists) but was battling for rebounds and managed to come away with seven on the night. Irving did get two steals in the loss but showed some real lackadaisical ball security with six turnovers in his team-high 40 minutes. Irving is shooting 36 percent over the last two weeks, and he definitely has room for improvement in that department. Look for the All-Star point guard to have a better shooting performance on Thursday against the Sixers.
