Kyle Tucker Crushes Home Run No. 13
Kyle Tucker went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in his team's 4-3 road loss to the Philadelphia Phillies. The 28-year-old added two walks and scored twice. Tucker got the Cubs on the board in the top of the first with a solo shot off Phillies starter Zack Wheeler, though they wouldn't score again until the eighth. It was his thirteenth long ball of the season. He notched his second run of the matchup in the eleventh when teammate Pete Crow-Armstrong doubled him home. Tucker has slowed down some in June, going just 5-for-21 (.238), but it was nice to see him go yard for the first time since jamming his finger last week. Despite the slight slump, four of his five hits in the month have gone for extra bases.
